Tax Tip: Certain 1099s for Investors May Arrive Later

If you have not received all of your 1099s, do not worry. In an effort to improve reporting accuracy, Congress passed a new law moving the deadline for brokerage firms, mutual fund companies, and barter exchanges to mail Forms 1099-B to their clients.

For 2010, the mailing deadline is Tuesday, February 16.
